This policy explains the information used by CloseHotel when you search for accommodation and prepare an itinerary.

Information you enter

The tool may process destination, dates, guest counts, guest names, email address and country of residence. These details are used to prepare the itinerary you request.

Browser storage

Booking selections and traveler details may be stored temporarily in your browser’s session storage so the multi-step flow works. The required download acknowledgement, including document ID and acceptance time, may be stored in local storage. You can remove this information by clearing site data in your browser.

PDF generation

The itinerary PDF is generated in your browser. CloseHotel does not claim ownership of documents you create. Avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information.

Third-party data services

Destination and property searches may request public data from OpenStreetMap, Nominatim, Overpass, Open-Meteo and Wikimedia Commons. Those providers may receive standard technical request data such as IP address and browser information under their own policies.

Server logs and security

Like most websites, the hosting server may record technical logs including request time, requested URL, IP address and user agent for security and operational purposes. CloseHotel does not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can stop using the tool before download, clear browser storage, or avoid entering optional information. Requirements and privacy rights may vary by jurisdiction.
